Nestled in the heart of California, TiE Silicon Valley stands as the founding chapter of TiE, founded in 1992. Since then, our influence has grown to encompass 57 chapters spanning 12 countries.

Over the years, TiE Silicon Valley has nurtured more than 25,000 entrepreneurs who collectively generated over $1 trillion in wealth and created over 2 million jobs.

TiE Angels stands as a flagship program within Silicon Valley, a testament to TiE’s commitment to nurturing innovation. In the past year alone, TiE Angels has invested nearly $1.5 million in startups. Our mission is clear: to empower emerging companies with early-stage investments and unwavering support.

TiE Global Angels North America, encompassing around 10 chapters in the USA, has firmly established itself, with TiE Angels Silicon Valley at the forefront alongside other chapters.

Since its inception in 2010, TiE Angels Silicon Valley, boasting a network of 125+ angel investors, has injected over $13.8 million into more than 75 startups. As a cornerstone program of TiE, TiE Angels connects promising early-stage companies with angel funding and introduces them to seasoned entrepreneurs, tech executives, and professional investors. Our 400+ active members leverage TiE’s extensive global network of 57 chapters to guide portfolio companies in overcoming the challenges of scaling into thriving enterprises. This collaborative approach has resulted in numerous successful investments by TiE Angels, with several portfolio companies achieving successful exits and securing follow-on funding in series A, B, and C rounds.

TiE Institute’s tailored programs cater to early-stage entrepreneurs seeking practical, real-world knowledge and interactive sessions within the supportive TiE community. Whether you have a nascent idea or a developed product without funding, TiE Institute is designed to nurture entrepreneurs who have not raised funding yet.

Our goal is to nurture these early-stage entrepreneurs towards a stage where they can actively engage in programs like TiE Angels, securing their initial round of funding to propel their vision forward. Through a series of events, we collaborate with sponsors, including law firms, venture capitalists, accounting firms, and banks, to provide entrepreneurs with valuable insights and preparations for potential IPOs.

Golden Globe

Introducing a fresh series from TiE Silicon Valley, “Golden Globe,” where we gather the industry’s finest, most inspiring speakers to delve into the latest disruptive technologies. “Golden Globe” unites luminaries from cutting-edge tech domains for engaging discussions. Previous speakers have featured luminaries like Aparna Dhinakaran (Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Arize AI), Akash Nigam (Founder & CEO of Genies), and Shivani Mitra (Co-Founder, Director, and Curator of the Museum of Crypto Art).

My Story

TiE Silicon Valley’s program, “My Story – Inspiring Journey of an Entrepreneur,” serves as a tribute to entrepreneurship, offering firsthand accounts from accomplished entrepreneurs. These narratives, both inspiring and instructive, are shared by the invited speaker(s) themselves.

During these sessions, our esteemed guests recount their entrepreneurial odyssey, candidly discussing invaluable lessons, pitfalls they wish they’d sidestepped, and pivotal choices that contributed to their venture’s triumph. We enthusiastically welcome audience questions at the conclusion of each session, fostering a dynamic exchange of knowledge and insights.

TYE Academy

TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is a global initiative dedicated to nurturing the next generation of industry leaders. This program imparts valuable insights to high school students, shedding light on both the gratifications and challenges of entrepreneurship. TYE operates as an “Entrepreneurship Academy,” empowering student teams to employ contemporary techniques and tools in conceptualizing ventures, guided by customer feedback, iteration, and streamlined business models.

The overarching objective is to equip them for a college environment centered around project-based learning and a workforce increasingly characterized by entrepreneurial endeavors.

Spanning six months, the TYE Academy program offers immersive hands-on training, encompassing the entire product development spectrum, from ideation to product launch. These sessions cover crucial aspects, including fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, honing leadership skills, refining communication and public speaking abilities, and fostering effective teamwork.

Mini MBA in Entrepreneurship

TiE Institute, an integral component of TiE Silicon Valley’s mission to empower the forthcoming generation of entrepreneurs, proudly presents the “Mini MBA in Entrepreneurship.” This comprehensive six-week program combines instructor-led sessions with self-paced learning, offering a virtual certification experience.

Guided by esteemed Silicon Valley instructors, who bring a wealth of practical expertise as serial entrepreneurs and adjunct professors at UC Berkeley and Northeastern University, this program is designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge.
